Celebrate International Women’s Day

Time to celebrate our day!!!!!  This rubber stamp in an oldie (so is the card I made) but a goodie.  I love the exuberance of the stamp.  The carefree invitation to raise our hands, dance and celebrate.  Over the years I have used it for many occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, congratulations and various other types of cards. This is a sample of a tri-fold card I made using this stamp.  I added dictionary clippings, bits from my ephemera stash, gems, and inside the card I added a feather to her hand just to add to the celebration. The shadow verbiage states “Oh Happy Day”, it is another one of my favorite stamps.  A ribbon holds the card’s ‘doors’ closed.  I wanted it to appear as if the doors are being opened to enter into a celebration party.

To all women, enjoy this day, celebrate achievements made and the ones to come. One of the quotes in my card defines “Dance: to move one’s body and feet to the rhythm of music” unk. I hope today you find your music and celebrate.
