Here are a few easy card making techniques to use up your paper stash. Though I refer to card making in most of my posts the techniques are applicable to journal pages, bookmarks or even to decorate gift bags. As usual, the supplies can be easily adjusted to your preferred paper collection.
The combination of the book pattern washi tape and the printed book page make this a good choice to give someone that enjoys reading. Also, it can be trimmed narrower to use as a bookmark.
The background paper below is the paper I use to protect my table from paint overflow when working on other projects. Thus the paint pattern is random and unplanned. Originally this page also came in the resale store paper packet mentioned above.
Rubber stamping makes a nice background. If the stamp is small stamping it in different angles works well to cover a larger area. I might go back and outline the spaces with a fine black pen.
The painted center panel on this card is from a previous project. It was a larger sheet of paper that covered my work space to protect the table. Once again the paint pattern is random. The top layer is from a paper selection my son gave me for Mother’s day.
