I enjoy making Halloween treats to distribute at work. Sometimes homemade treats are not a popular item to give to trick-or-treaters. However they do work well for folks that know the giver.
I love the smell of cookie dough; I also enjoy eating it. This time I resisted the temptation to indulge myself. That’s a big step for me!Once the cookies were baked resistance flew out the door and yes, I have to sample them to be sure the taste is acceptable. I used less sugar this time and I do not notice a difference in the cookies. My treat bag stuffers this year are simple. Bubbles, nail files, stickers and the cookies make up the special treat. The orange cups are cupcake cups that I bought on clearance a previous Halloween. I use paper shreds to make the bag a little festive and tie it with orange twine. The recipient’s name is written on the backside of the foam spider.
The treat bags were a hit at work and I took the extra cookies for folks to come by and indulge. Coffee and cookies, a perfect pairing. And, no more temptation for me at home.
Whether you are planning Halloween treats to give to co-workers or neighbors, these are also good as Halloween party favors.
Now, I can start planning the Thanksgiving and Christmas treats.
