2023 Memories

Have you ended the year with lots of enjoyable 2023 Memories?  Sometimes condensing all the events into one post makes the post way too long.

As we start the new year it is good to reflect on the past year remembering fun times shared with family and friends. I also have many happy memories of alone time.  Time spent gardening and doing yardwork.  Visiting the Safari Park, going to the movies and of course, my daily reading time.

More recently during my vacation in November Victoria took me on a tour of some of her favorite places in her new home place. Our morning started with coffee and scones. Delicious though I do not have a photo to show because I ate it before I thought to photograph it.  However, the memory is still with me

Next stop, a rather large resale store. I found grab bags of paper scraps perfect for collage and card making. I always enjoy finding these especially if they include old dated cards and notes. One of the packages contained a remembrance card for a woman born in 1885! I wonder what will be found of our lives.

After the shopping adventure she took me to a cute coffee shop.  We did not have coffee, we looked around.  It has a floral area for ordering arrangements and a small gift shop area.  Very nice place to take a coffee break.

Pastries in Oceanside
Next stop was a bakery. The pastries were delicious and we also had a sandwich to give ourselves some protein. We selected a variety of pastries to share.

I was glad to have the new paper stash from our shopping trip and started making our Christmas cards with some of the items.

This is one of the cards I made. The picture in the center is a remembrance card.

Our outing ended with a stop at the store to purchase items for out Thanksgiving meal.  This was the perfect way start that vacation. Girl time, coffee, pastries, lunch and shopping.  So much fun.

I hope the New Year finds you fondly reminiscing over your 2023 memories and looking forward to new adventures in 2024.
