I enjoyed staycation time recently. I connected it to the 4th of July holiday to extend the time off. As I prepared to go back to work the last Saturday I felt like I actually had a real break this time.
While traveling and visiting other locations can be lots of fun, a stay-cation can be more relaxing. And, because I live in area that tourists enjoy visiting there is plenty to do and see. The benefit is that there isn’t the rush and preparation of packing and meeting timelines. No packing, no timelines, no rushing, just my time as I want to spend it.
We had the 4th of July celebrations at Old Poway during the day and fireworks in the evening. A wonderful start to the break.

I also had extra time to dedicate to my works in progress that have been waiting a very long time for me to complete. I have them organized now so that I can work on them throughout the week. You will see them soon in upcoming posts. It feels wonderful to be catching up.
And of course, I love to discover new places to eat especially bakeries

It was a wonderful break for me. I spent time with friends, enjoyed time alone and had a girl’s mall day with my shopping bestie. We had lunch out and enjoyed cheesecake for dessert. Overall, it was a wonderful week.
I hope you have been enjoying your summer and that you are able to take time to relax. Enjoy your family and friends and keep creating. It’s good for you.
