Sharing a couple of pages from my honey bee journal. This cute journal reminded me that World Honey Bee day was this month.
I use multiple journals at the same time, though for different subjects per journal. This honey bee one has thicker pages that hold up well to inks, markers and glue. I decided to make it my Bible verse journal. A place to write my favorite verses where it is easy to look them up again. This is one of the first pages I made in this journal. I rubberstamped lightly in a few areas. The images are a combination of washi tape stickers and a nature sticker book. The verse is written using a wedge tip marker. The close up of the page corner is to show the layered stamping. The web-like pattern adds color without overpowering the page border. The paper held up well to the layers of ink; it did not bleed through to the other sideFor the verbiage on this one I used a pen instead of marker. I might add images to this page later.
Are you a journal keeper? Sometimes folks get started journaling and then drop the habit due to feeling pressure to journal daily. If that is something that you have done, drop the pressure. Journal when you naturally feel like it, not when you feel obligated.
Maybe start a journal of your favorite verses, quotes, events. Use it as a down time way to relax.
Another good idea is to use it as a project planner to refer back to when you have time to attack a project you’ve been wanting to do. Or, cut out and glue your favorite images in a journal; make it your happy place to visit.
However you choose to journal – experiment, have fun and just be you.
