It is interesting to see the different patterns made by a pine tree’s trunk and branches. They twist, turn, bend, yet still stand strong, sturdy and vibrant becoming more interesting as they grow and age. This tree has multiple contrasts in color and texture. There is the contrast of the vivid green compared to the grey of the trunk and branches. It has opposite textures in the smooth needles and the roughness of the bark. And of course this one has a wonderful pine scent.
Next time you are outdoors be sure to stop along the way to enjoy the trees around you. They have quite a variety of colors and textures for us to enjoy and they might inspire future art and craft projects. They also give us a nice shady place to take a break.
