Are you a coffee or a tea person? I love both. My favorite way to start the day is with either a cup of hot tea or coffee, a crisp non-hazelnut biscotti and my morning quiet time. What could be better? This ritual starts my day at a calm pace, focused on the moment and helps me prepare for the work ahead.
When driving to work I go in an hour early to make my coffee and sit in a quiet area of the breakroom to have a bit of time to myself. The breakroom is empty at 6:30 in the morning so I can indulge in my quiet time without rushing and without interruptions. This makes a great transition from freeway driving to starting my workday.
Now that I am working from home I do not have to hit the freeway in the morning, but it is still nice to have a bit of quiet time before I need to press the power button on the computer.
My son gave me this coffee press for Christmas, it has been a wonderful addition to my work-from-home routine. I am very grateful for all the little things that ‘lift’ my day.
