Childhood toys

Look at what I found during one of my recent de-cluttering episodes.  These little characters helped to remind kids of positive character traits to have.  They are one of the last hold outs of a childhood long gone. (There are still some Barbie dolls in the attic).  Back then we had a few more of these dolls, but four are all that survived the years.

The bear with her rainbow tummy is the encourager and one of the original characters.  She cheers the others along the way.

There is the grandparent that has a floral bouquet and a baby that has a little star, both part of the second generation of characters. The grandma is there to take care of someone when they are sick or help as needed. I cannot remember the baby’s character trait.

Then there is the cousin with a winged heart showing loyalty to friends and is able to face danger bravely.

Regardless of their special character trait, these little dolls brought hours of playtime fun.  Now they are a little worn from all that playtime and maybe a little bit outdated.  But, the character traits remain just as applicable and important today as they were back in childhood days.

A good reminder to keep watching out and caring for each other. Which one was your favorite character?

The one with the rainbow is the encourager.
